TSBw-type concrete transformer substations
TSBw-type substations are designed for operation with medium-voltage cable or cable–overhead networks with either ring or radial configuration, as well as with low-voltage cable networks. They are used to supply electrical power to residential estates in urban, suburban, and rural areas, construction sites, industrial plants, and any other facilities requiring a reliable electricity supply.
The substation structure consists of three independent elements:
- foundation,
- main body,
- roof.
The foundation is fully sealed, acting as a barrier both against external water ingress and any potential oil leakage inside the substation. Cable ducts are installed in the foundation so that the substation can be connected to MV and LV networks. The main body houses MV and LV switchgear along with the transformer. These substations feature an internal service corridor.
In TSBw 25-XX substations, we use a container enclosure system with a fixed width of 2550 mm and variable length, depending on the customer’s requirements for equipment type and arrangement – ranging from 3000 mm to 8000 mm. The enclosure is cast as a monolith in a single process, ensuring there are no joints between the walls and the floor. The concrete elements are made from C30/C37 concrete. The substations can be manufactured with fire resistance ratings of REI 30, 60, 90, or 120. The substation’s color scheme can be customized in any color and type of plaster available on the market. Roof options available:
- Concrete roof
- Metal roof (gable or multi-pitched).
The transformer substation enclosure is designed for Poland’s wind zone III and snow zone 4.
